Maple is a species of tree native to North America. It produces a light weight, fairly hard wood that is excellent for drum shells. Maple is known for its softer, warmer tones as opposed to the punchier and louder woods like birch and poplar.
Pick the solid ambrosia maple CajonTab® if you are a fan of the wood or if you would like a CajonTab® with a warm, rich sound without too much weight. Maple is not a heavy hardwood like bubinga or padauk, making this drum easy to transport and carry.
