Standard CajonTab vs Jumbo CajonTab

By Carson Cashman February 24, 2017 0 comments

Our two most popular drums are the Standard CajonTab and the Jumbo CajonTab.

Jumbo and Standard CajonTabs

Although the Jumbo isn't that much bigger than the Standard, it still has a considerably different sound.  The extra surface area of the tapa and larger size creates a very low bass tone from the Jumbo.

We created this short video for you to hear the differences yourself. Near the end of the clip, you can hear how alternating between the two drums can create some interesting rhythms. We recommend trying the Jumbo on your strong hand side as your "bass" drum and the Standard on your weak hand side as your "snare".

Here's the video:

Both drums are available now in our online store.
